Have the right attitude. Know yourself – your qualities, strengths and weaknesses. Make everything work to your advantage. Given the limited time spared to you, be sure to make the most out of it. Most likely, your interviewer is holding your résumé during the interview that’s why it is not necessary to verbalize things that he/she is already reading. However, you must remember everything you have written in your résumé because this is where most of the questions will be based from. Find a way in which you will be able to market yourself. While doing so, never forget to keep tabs on your approach. Do not be too overbearing; learn how to speak with pride without jeopardizing humility. You have to be able to say things about yourself that will appear as value-adding to their company. If they see loopholes or weak areas, express your intention (especially for the newly grads) to learn more and compromise matters. Always smile. Smiling is a good indicator of confidence. Before stepping in for the interview, gather all your wits, all your nerves and all the positivity around you; then, smile. How you carry out your facial expressions can reflect your ethics and behavior. It can somehow determine how you will be able to interact with other employees and how you can go around with the existing culture of the company you are applying to. Your expressions must be in sync with your words, if not, it will be difficult to believe in you. Also, do not leave your manners at home. Be sure to utter proper greetings and remarks to your interviewer. Say a little prayer. Divine guidance is the best thing anyone can rely on. Prayers to God will surely help you in easing all your tensions. Having a peaceful mind can straighten things out. With strong faith, you will be able to survive no matter what happens. Despite all your preparations, God will still lead you in the right path for you. There are those who easily get a job, but for some, it takes gallons of sweat and tears before finally getting employed. If you do not have any Latin award or top board result, then, do not expect jobs to come knocking on your door. Have the initiative and confidence to seek for it; and when you have finally grabbed a chance, make sure to put your best foot forward. The least thing you need is a ‘Don’t call us, we’ll call you’ response. Nevertheless, do not lose hope. You can talk about...
